We recently visited Blackbuck Safari Lodge in Velavadar, and it was truly a delightful experience. The property is absolutely beautiful, offering a serene and well-maintained environment that perfectly complements the surrounding nature.
The food was exceptionally tasty, with a great variety and quality that made every meal enjoyable. What stood out even more was the hospitality—every staff member was courteous, attentive, and genuinely warm.
A special thanks to Mr. Dalpat Singh for his outstanding hospitality. He made us feel incredibly welcome and took the time to give us a wonderful tour of the property, making our visit even more memorable.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Wow.
We spent 2 nights here with family during Holi 2020. A lovely, homely place in laid back Velavadar. Good location, very good ambience and excellent food and service. Buffet Menu is not very elaborate but is designed in such a way that you feel it's just the right. Taste is very close to home made food. Relax in sit out area of your cottage or in gazebo with a nice book in hand or just listen to the songs of the birds.... choose your own way to unwind..
And yes, for activity lovers there is a lot to choose from... carom, cards, mini cricket, swimming, cycling along the water canal, nature walks, birding... and these all in addition to a detailed safari with the very own Mr Amit. A new place, arid land, remote location... but you all have converted this place in an oasis. Keep up the good work.

Quiet and comfortable semi-luxury property, a ten minute drive from the national park entry.
Pros: Service is outstanding and the staff are ever ready to comply with all requests (including an off menu gulab jamun craving). Rooms are comfortable, stocked with standard toiletries, and there is more on request. The on property naturalist is well-informed, especially about birds. The food is vegetarian and tasty, albeit a bit rich, so tell them to go easy on the ghee! They also provide a lot of variety at lunch and dinner times.
Cons: There are televisions, but most channels don't work because the subscriptions are not renewed. Wi-Fi is not available and network is patchy on the property (Vodafone).

The property is well maintained, and peaceful with good is located 7kms from the sanctuary and its set in a scenic location. With the naturalist, Amit is the key person at the property, who keeps the guests engaged with his history and all the information on the flora and fauna of Velavadar. He is very knowledgeable and readily share information with a documentary and his own collection of videos. He guides the tourists very well and also keeps them engaged during the meals, and also joins in the safaris. The property and its staff provide personalized attention and make sure you have a comfortable stay. The decoration for the evenings are good, but they could organize evening entertainment or regional music to keep it lively around the patio next to the pond. It was a pleasant stay and had a very enjoyable vacation.

I had a wonderful experience at Blackbuck Safari Lodge-Velavadar. The lodge is surrounded by nature and offers a peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect getaway from city life. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The staff was extremely courteous, helpful, and always ready to assist. The food was delicious, with a good variety of options. The highlight of the stay was the opportunity to explore the nearby blackbuck habitat and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
I highly recommend this lodge to wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers, and families looking for a relaxing stay. Looking forward to visiting again!

I had made a really im prompt plan to visit it with my family. As a reason this was the only last moment option available, as other places were under renovation. I was really sceptical of this place seeing the photos, but on arrival, it was a totally different. The place is in the heart of mother nature, too calm and beautiful. Only thing was the weather was really hot. The manager Mr. Amit welcomed us very warmly and explained us about the property. The safari can be arranged by the hotel staff as well. It is hardly 10 minutes from the national park. Amit was really a gentle and knowledgable host, he explained us about velavdar’s biodiversity and its species. The food was really nice and felt like home. The place though being in a very remote place, feels very safe and secured. A must have experience. We also had an opportunity of cycling inside the campus. Thank you Amit and team.

Last week we made a family trip to blackbuck safari Lodge in velavadar and stayed for two nights. The location of this BBSL property is excellent. The nature and serenity of the ambience at it's best. As usual the Service, Hospitality and food was top notch.Property is at 10min distance from velavadar national park safari booking, during our jeep safaris we spotted stripped hyena, jungle cat, blackbuck and many birds Even we spotted few wild birds and monitor lizard in lodge as well, Overall a very memorable stay. The property is well located near park and many more tourist places near by
This also adds novelty to this property.

Stayed in Black buck safari lodge of one night with family on 14th to 15 th Jan . The facility is near Blackbuck National park ,Velavadar. The facility is good , neat clean cottage & facility . Whole place is eco friendly & looks real . The hospitality & food was excellent & well prepared. The safari vehicle was hired from the hotel , they had arranged National park permit , tickets , forest guide for me. Also arranged for my driver stay at reasonable cost .Overall loved the place & suited my expectations. Earlier i had stayed in Blackbuck lodge which is just opposite the National park .

Zeer goed resort met vriendelijke bediening en goede begeleiding voor safari. Klein zwembad maar leuk om de middag door te brengen in afwachting van de safari om drie uur.
Het eten was vegetarisch maar lekker.
De kamers zeer mooi en proper.

Un posto magnifico vicino il Parco Nazionale. Staff gentilissimo, cibo ottimo ed abbondante. Super colazioni e stanze spaziose e pulite. Un'oasi di pace dove rilassarsi tra un safari mattutino e pomeridiano. Siamo stati benissimo e lo consiglio vivamente.

Blackbuck Safari Lodge is the best wildlife resort in Velavadar. We stayed there for 2 days. The location of the resort was just perfect. It was staying comidst nature where we could here the sound of birds, get a view of never ending Forrest and whif of freshness. We also spotted Snake Eagle and Florican when we went on evening walk. They have swimming pool and children play areas which makes our trip more enjoyable. The food was extraordinarily delicious as most of the vegetables they grow in their farm. The service is top notch.

It's a beautiful place. It's like living in the jungle. The view is so serene & beautiful. The chirping of the birds & sitting in the lap of nature. The resort is amazing. The room has all the necessary facilities. The staff is really polite & humble. All our requests were taken into consideration. They usually offer only breakfast inclusive packages. Ala carte is the only option for lunch and dinner. This turns out to be quite expensive. But the food is really good.
Plus we could see Black Bucks so it was cherry on the cake.

This place is near to Rajgardh district bhavnagar. Roughly 155 km from Ahmedabad. This resort is in roughly 8 vigha land, there are 18 rooms. with club house and swimming pool too. Restaurant is very clean and good. Overall staff is very polite and they are taking care of guest very nicely. 🚲 bicycles are also there for exercise, Children play area is also there. Rooms are very clean. Food of this resort is very delicious. Blackbuck safari century is hardly 10 km away from this resort. Car parking facility is also very nice

The place is so beautifully located out of nowhere. The place is beautiful and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay there. Rooms are nice and comfortable, Food was very much home like. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Would like to make a special mention of Jignesh( staff member at the restaurant) who took great care of us and made sure we got everything that we needed as we were traveling with an infant.
Would definitely love to visit again very soon.

Blackbuck Safari lodge was recommended by our travel agent. We wanted to visit the blackbuck Sanctuary about 10 kms away from the lodge.
The staff very polite and efficient.
The rooms are neat and spotlessly clean.
The food is delicious.
Great activity room with a TT table and many other board games. Also you can cycle within the lodge premises.
They have created an artificial pond with a gazebo seating near it and one can see a lot of birds.
Overall a lovely place to visit.

Spent one night here on a drive around Gujarat. Comfortable and reasonably priced resort near the Velavadar Blackbuck Sanctuary. The last few miles drive to the resort runs alongside the sanctuary and is an added joy. A very skilled naturalist Amit based in the resort guided us during our Safari into the Sanctuary. Food at the Sanctuary is good and service is attentive. The compound is very peaceful with a couple of water bodies. Accommodation is very comfortable.

This was our second stop (after Ahmedabad) for our coastal Gujrat road trip. Frankly, we booked this property purely by chance. But it turned out to be a good surprise. We had a great time . The manager took us personally for the visit to the wildlife sanctuary and was kind to teach us how to convert regular phone cameras into SLRs :-) My personal suggestion : Book your Black Buck sanctuary visit through the resort. Very nice & helpful staff. Food was quite homely. Loved the visit

Discovered this place through a friend, there are 2 resorts (including this one) and very similar names. This one opened in Oct 2019, rooms are brand new, nice and contemporary design.
Food is freshly made, tasty and served hot, very courteous cook and serving staff, front desk very much customer oriented.
Blackbuck sanctuary is 6-7 kms away from this place.. Park offers morning and afternoon safari (in your own car with a guide)

Experienced the best service in Velavdar so far... Selfless staff that gives you all the information needed apart from their own property... Very co operative and great service approach... Specially Mr. Maheepalsinh who guided us to various properties when no accommodation was available at their own place...
Next day we visited them for lunch and it was awesome... We definitely looking forward to staying with them...
